Trevor Prangley defeated Keith Jardine by split decision - not sure why the hell this was a split decision Prangley pretty much controlled the entire fight up until a late rally by Jardine in the 3rd.
Houston Alexander defeated Rameau Thierry Sokoudjou by a brutal 2nd round TKO. Sokoudjou dominated round 1 then gassed out and Alexander beat the crap out of him. Very very dangerous late stoppage by shitty Texas referee Kerry Hatley. Hatley is the same referee that allowed the late (possibly after the bell) illegal knee by KJ Noons on Jorge Gurgel at Strikeforce Houston that I bitched about on the last MMAFans show.
Paul Daley defeated Jorge Masvidal by unanimous decision. Masvidal controlled most of the fight. The first round was pretty even, the 2nd definitely belonged to Masvidal and Daley stole round 3 with a late rally. Daley once again showed he has shitty takedown defense and barely managed to steal a decision against a guy who normally fights at 155lbs. Not very impressive. One of the judges scored the fight 30-27 for Daley. I have no idea what the fuck he was smoking by not giving Masvidal at least round 2. Apparently Masvidal impressed the Strikeforce brass because he just announced today that he has signed a 2 year, 6 fight deal with them. Masvidal will be competing at 155lbs in Strikeforce. Not sure who reported this first but I read it at www.mmamania.com
Danillo Villefort defeated Joey Villasenor by unanimous decision. Villasenor couldn't keep Villefort from taking him down and controlling him on the ground. This was no lay and pray however Villefort was always improving his position on the ground, striking and looking for submissions. Not the most exciting fight in the world but not lay and pray.
Tarec Saffiedine defeated Brock Larson by unanimous decision. I've seen Brock Larson fight several times in the UFC and WEC and i've never seen him look more pathetic than in this fight. There must have been something wrong with him as he was basically completely gassed out by the 2nd round.
Paul Bradley defeated John Reese by Rear Naked Choke submission in round 1. This was a good little fight to open the broadcast.
Unaired Prelim results:
Ronnie Mann defeated Douglas Evans by split decision to win the Shark Fights Featherweight title. Why the hell they had the only title fight on the unaired prelims i'll never know.
Aaron Rosa defeated Devin Cole by unanimous decision
Daniel Straus defeated Karen Darabedyan by unanimous decision
Eric Davila defeated Pete Spratt by guillotine submission in Round 2
Prelim results from www.sherdog.com who actually broadcasted the prelims live streaming on their website.
