Gamburyan hung in there well in a feeling out process round 1 but in round 2 Aldo cracked him with a great uppercut and then completely demolished him on the ground. Good win for Aldo.
Donald Cerrone defeated Jamie Varner by unanimous decision 30-27 on all scorecards
A very exciting fight between two dudes that hate each other. They took the bonus for Fight of the Night getting 10K each.
Miguel Torres defeated Charlie Valencia by submission rear naked choke at 2:25 of round 2
Great performance by Torres who showed great defense and much more patience than he normally does. A patient, defensive Torres is a very dangerous thing for the rest of the Bantamweight division. Torres took the submission of the night bonus of 10K for this one.
George Roop defeated Chang Sung Jung by a huge head kick KO at 1:30 of round 2
This was definitely a big holy shit moment of the show. The Korean Zombie takes his first stoppage loss thanks to a huge highlight reel head kick by Roop that earned him the Knockout of the Night bonus of 10K.
Mark Hominick defeated Leonard Garcia by split decision 29-28,29-28, 28-29
I had scored the first round for Garcia but whoever the judge was that scored it 29-28 for him must have been high. Hominick clearly took over the striking in this fight dominating Garcia with his jab.
